The Hypodermic Syringe Model
The theory that it has a direct and powerful impact on the audience, goes straight into their minds.
Cultivation Theory
A social theory which examines the long-term effect of television on the audience.
Desensitisation Theory
People are less effected by what they are exposed to such as; violence, sex and drugs.
Copy Cat Model
The theory that people watch films/programs and copy them.
Uses and Gratifications Theory
The idea that we only intake information from the media that we want, not what we are forced into.
